Resistant Dextrin

Ingredient Overview

Resistant dextrin is a processed carbohydrate used to add fibre with relatively little thickening. This makes it useful in recipes where keeping a light texture matters.

Its comparatively low viscosity helps add fibre-containing solids without necessarily creating a thick gel. This can be useful in beverages and other foods where a lighter mouthfeel is wanted. The dry format also suits blending with sweeteners, flavours and other ingredients before the product is mixed with water.
