Ingredient Overview
Kudzu is a climbing plant whose root has been used in East Asian food and herbal traditions. Puerarin is an isoflavone associated with the root and used to standardise this extract.
The root has a food as well as an herbal background, making kudzu more than a source of a single compound. Puerarin belongs to the plant’s isoflavone constituents. Concentrated root extracts bring this compositional feature into botanical ingredient development while retaining the identity of the climbing plant from which they originate.
