01

Does The Quoted Price Include Shipping And Import Charges?

Check the delivery terms on the quotation. Product price, freight, insurance, import duties and local charges may be separate, depending on the agreed terms. Send us the delivery address and tell us whether you plan to use your own freight forwarder. Before you order, we will clarify which costs are included and who is responsible for import clearance.

02

What Payment Terms Apply To My Order?

Payment terms are confirmed in the quotation and pro forma invoice for your order. If you need a particular payment schedule or method, tell us before confirming the purchase so we can check whether it is available. For custom processing or packaging, confirm when payments are due in relation to production and shipment.

03

What Is The Minimum Order Quantity For Bulk Botanical Extracts?

There is no single MOQ for every botanical extract. Minimum order quantity depends on whether the item is stocked or custom, the raw material, standardized potency, carrier, testing program and packaging format. Share the ingredient name, specification, annual volume and destination so Alpha Natural can quote the most practical sample, pilot and commercial quantities.

04

Can I Request Botanical Extract Samples And A Sample COA Before Ordering?

Yes, sample availability depends on the ingredient, specification and current stock. A representative sample can support sensory, solubility and formulation trials, while a sample COA helps the quality team review the proposed specification. The commercial shipment should still include documentation for the actual production lot supplied.

05

What Is The Typical Lead Time For A Bulk Botanical Extract Order?

Lead time varies by stock status, raw-material season, custom processing, laboratory release, packaging and shipping destination. Standard stocked ingredients are usually faster than custom standardized extracts or private-label formats. Alpha Natural confirms the production and documentation schedule after the specification, quantity and packaging are approved.

06

What Information Should I Send To Get An Accurate Quote?

Please include the ingredient name, required specification, order quantity and delivery country or postal code. If you have a specification sheet or reference COA, attach it. Tell us about any packaging, testing or certification requirements and your preferred delivery date. For repeat purchases, an estimated annual volume also helps us compare supply options.

07

What Is A Botanical Extract, And How Is It Different From Botanical Powder?

A botanical powder is usually the dried plant material milled into a fine powder. A botanical extract concentrates selected soluble compounds from the plant using a controlled extraction process. Extracts may offer a defined extract ratio or standardized marker compound, while whole powders retain more of the original plant matrix. The right format depends on dose, label claim, flavor, color and finished-product application.

08

What Does A 10:1 Herbal Extract Ratio Mean?

A 10:1 ratio generally describes the relationship between the starting botanical material and the resulting extract: approximately ten units of dried raw material are used to produce one unit of extract. The ratio alone does not prove potency or quality, so buyers should also review the plant part, extraction solvent, native extract content, carrier level, assay method and batch-specific Certificate of Analysis.

09

What Is A Standardized Botanical Extract?

A standardized botanical extract is produced to deliver a consistent, declared level of one or more marker or active compounds. Examples may include polyphenols, withanolides, curcuminoids or beta-glucans. Confirm the marker, target percentage, analytical method and whether the value is measured on an as-is or dry basis before comparing specifications.

10

Which Extraction Methods Are Used For Herbal And Mushroom Extracts?

Water extraction is common for water-soluble compounds, while ethanol or hydro-alcoholic extraction may be selected for other botanical constituents. Some functional mushroom ingredients use hot-water or dual extraction. Alpha Natural matches the extraction method to the raw material, target compounds and intended application, then confirms the solvent system and residual-solvent specification before production.

11

Do Botanical Extract Powders Contain Maltodextrin Or Other Carriers?

Some spray-dried extracts use a carrier such as maltodextrin or gum arabic to improve drying, stability, flow or dispersibility; other specifications may be carrier-free. Ask for the native extract percentage and full composition rather than relying on the extract ratio alone. Alpha Natural can confirm carrier type and level for each quoted specification.

12

Which Quality Documents Come With A Bulk Botanical Extract Order?

A professional botanical extract supplier should make the relevant technical documents available for review. Depending on the ingredient and order, these may include a batch-specific COA, specification sheet, TDS, SDS, allergen statement, non-GMO statement, country of origin, process flow, stability or shelf-life information and applicable Organic, Kosher, Halal or ISO documentation.

13

How Are Botanical Extracts Tested For Identity And Potency?

Identity and potency methods should match the ingredient and target analyte. Common approaches include botanical identification, microscopy or chromatography for identity, plus HPLC, UV-Vis, GC or validated wet-chemistry methods for assay. Buyers should compare the specification, test method and batch COA together and request third-party verification when their quality program requires it.

14

Are Herbal Extracts Tested For Heavy Metals, Pesticides And Microbiology?

Risk-based quality specifications commonly address lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury; pesticide residues; residual solvents where applicable; and microbiological limits such as total plate count, yeast and mold, E. coli and Salmonella. The exact panel and limits must be agreed for the ingredient, market and application. Alpha Natural can align testing documentation with the approved purchasing specification.

15

How Can Buyers Verify Organic Botanical Extracts And Traceability?

Verify that the certificate is current, covers the specific product and operation, and matches the legal entity supplying the material. A traceable lot should connect the finished extract to its raw-material source, plant part, production batch and supporting transaction or organic records. Alpha Natural supports lot-level documentation and provides applicable certification details during qualification.

16

What Is The Difference Between Mushroom Fruiting Body And Mycelium Extract?

The fruiting body is the visible mushroom, while mycelium is the filament-like fungal network. Both can be legitimate ingredients, but their composition and production methods differ. Buyers should confirm the species, fungal part, growth substrate, extraction method, starch result and active-compound specification instead of judging quality from the ingredient name alone.

17

What Is The Difference Between Beta-Glucans And Total Polysaccharides?

Total polysaccharides is a broad measurement that may include beta-glucans, alpha-glucans and other carbohydrates. Beta-glucan testing is more specific to the beta-linked polysaccharide fraction used in many functional mushroom specifications. For a meaningful comparison, request the test method and review beta-glucan, alpha-glucan or starch data alongside the ingredient composition.

18

Can Alpha Natural Customize Extract Ratio, Potency, Solubility Or Particle Size?

Custom development can address extract ratio, marker-compound level, carrier system, color, flavor, dispersibility, bulk density and mesh size when technically feasible. The team first reviews the target application and required specification, then confirms sample work, analytical method, MOQ, lead time and commercial feasibility.

19

Do You Offer Private Label Capsule, Powder Jar And Pouch Manufacturing?

Yes. Alpha Natural supports capsule bottling, powder bottling and resealable powder pouches with custom labels and pack-out options. Packaging recommendations depend on serving size, fill weight, moisture sensitivity, closure, barrier requirements, order volume and destination-market labeling rules.

20

Are Botanical Extract Powders Suitable For Capsules, Drink Mixes And Functional Foods?

Many botanical extracts can be formulated into capsules, tablets, gummies, sachets, drink mixes and functional foods, but suitability is specification-specific. Important checks include dose, flavor, color, pH, heat stability, hygroscopicity, particle size, flow and water dispersibility. Application trials should be completed before commercial scale-up.

21

How Should Botanical Extract Powder Be Stored, And What Is Its Shelf Life?

Most dry botanical extracts should remain sealed in their original packaging and be protected from heat, moisture, oxygen and direct light. Shelf life depends on the ingredient, packaging and validated stability information, so follow the storage statement and retest or expiry date on the approved specification and batch documentation.

22

Are You A Manufacturer Or An Ingredient Sourcing Company?

We do both. Alpha Natural Ingredients operates its own factory, Anhui Taihua Bio Co., Ltd., for raw material processing and works with a broad network of ingredient manufacturers across China. This gives us more options when matching a requested ingredient, specification and order volume. Ask us which facility will produce your material when reviewing a quotation.

23

Can You Help Me Buy Several Ingredients From Different Suppliers?

Yes. Send us your ingredient list, target specifications and quantities. We can coordinate sourcing and communication with multiple manufacturers through one point of contact. Each ingredient still needs its own agreed specification and batch documents. Whether items can ship together depends on their availability, packaging and release dates.

24

Can You Source An Ingredient That Is Not Listed On Your Website?

You can send us a sourcing request even if the ingredient is not in our online catalog. Include the common or botanical name, plant part where relevant, target specification, application and quantity. We will check suitable options with our factory and supplier network and confirm whether we can offer the material.

25

Will My Shipment Include A Third-Party Test Report?

We provide a third-party test report with every batch supplied. Before ordering, we agree the required tests and limits for your ingredient. If your quality team requires a particular laboratory, method or additional panel, tell us at the quotation stage so we can confirm the arrangements, cost and timing. The report should identify the batch supplied and the tests actually performed.

26

Why Do Prices Differ For Extracts With The Same Stated Percentage?

The percentage is only one part of the specification. Prices can also differ because of the botanical species, plant part, extraction process, test method, order size and required testing. Two quotes may even refer to different measured compounds despite using a similar product name. Send us both specifications so we can help you compare what each offer includes.
